  • The crossing was closed from 1971 to 1995

  • Johnny Fletcher (B-Special) was shot at this crossing whilst crossing the border off duty.

  • To the left at the Kilcoo crossing is Clacham Bridge - this is where St. Patrick was supposed to have crossed the border - his footprints are supposed to be there!
